shot inside the 'dollar general' in rosman in 2011. the victim had been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of o'shields' son. o'shields' trial was delayed several times, over questions about his competency. 3 3 the death of a haywood county man whose body was found in the upstate has been ruled a suicide. 57-year-old jeffrey turner's body was found friday morning in oconee county. search teams had been looking for him since he was reported missing last tuesday. 3 3 a man is arrested following a standoff with sheriff's deputies in oconee county. 31-year-old david brown is charged with domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. authorities responded to a call early yesterday morning near seneca. brown's wife left their home and contacted deputies. they say he barricaded himself inside, but later surrendered. 3 3 3 police in fletcher are still searching for these car break-in suspects. investigators say they stole credit cards from vehicles, then used them at businesses in henderson and southern buncombe counties. they were traveling in a truck similar to the one you see here. if

3 in this morning's newsreel... police are investigating who planted an explosive near the airport in albuquerque, new mexico. investigators say the device was attached to an a-vis budget rental car. a mechanic saw it when he put the vehicle on a lift yesterday. a police bomb squad later disabled it. the incident did not affect any flights and everything is now back to normal at the airport. officials say they are trying to track down the last person to rent the car. 3 a man in oregon is expected to survive after he was pulled into a wood chipper. his harness got stuck in tree limbs that were fed into the chipper. they say his leg tripped the safety bar in the last moment and shut the chipper off. officials say chipper blades were just inches away from his head when the machine stopped. the victim broke his leg and suffered a head injury. 3 and take a look at this.. giant ice chunks can be seen floating in lake michigan right now. this photo was taken by todd pratt along the banks of the belmont harbor in chicago. 3 3

3 the north carolina tar heels have gone through some serious adversity over the past couple of weeks. a pair of conference losses and a frightening moment when roy williams collapsed during a game. but the coach is fine, and so too is the team, after a dominating performance sunday against pitt. roy williams feeling much better today, tossing out carolina t-shirts before the game today. pick it up in the first half, kennedy meeks gets the block, and then starts the break to marcus paige who finishes with the dunk! paige scores 15 points, and this game was never in doubt for u-n-c. later, brice johnson takes the feed from paige and throws it down! johnson scores 19 points to lead the tar heels. carolina up 42-29 at the break. in the
